ALCHEMY AND POTION MAKING

Being the various potions that may be brewed by an Alchemist, and the skills and materials needed to create each.

General Functioning of the Skill

In order to make potions, an alchemist requires a mortar and pestle as basic equipment. Given reagents and bottles, the alchemist can make simple potions, Lesser Heal, Lesser Cure, Lesser Refresh, and Illumination by doubleclicking on the mortar to access the menu.

In order to make more potent potions, the alchemist needs to use an alchemist table, found in alchemy shops or in private homes. The mortar and pestle is still required but the options are accessed by using the alchemist table.

Fireworks, fuses, and dyes may also be manufactured. See below for details.

Poison
Green Potion
A poison that can be applied to a weapon or food. Poisonous Nightshade is the basis of most poisons, though the deadliest are said to also incorporate the Executioner's Hood mushroom.

Hallucination Poison
Hallucinatory Poison Potion
A poison to be used on food only. The hallucinogenic properties of Nightshade are powered by Mandrake and carried through the body of the victim by the movement properties of Blood Moss.
The potion is used on food, which is then to be eaten by the victim. This potion is strong and can cause true poisoning as well as hallucination.
Explosion
Explosion Potion
A delayed blast detonation. The volcanic force of energy from the sulphurous ash is forced outwards in an explosive blast by the black pearl.
Magical Protection

The protective properties of garlic against magic are bound to the drinker by the spider silk. Mandrake powers the whole to reflect spells.

Dispulsion

The Alchemy of Covetous

Before the current madness struck the mages currently working in the lower levels of the Dungeon Covetous, they made considerable progress in studying the unusual metallic substances found in the lower levels of the mine. Some of the results of that work may still be obtained therein at some risk to the searcher. The currently known details of such may be found here.
