These
are the conditions and restrictions on player housing. They are
subject to change by the Staff at any time.
Guildhouses
One guild/group per character (if someone wants to change to another
guild/group, they must resign from the first one). Guildhall pricing
is determined by the staff, and if a guildhall is not marked, page
in game for information. Three members required to form a guild,
with Lord British's sanction. If all members of the guild are no
longer active, the guild will be considered dissolved, and the guildhall
will be put back up for sale. A guildhall may hold 5 lockable containers,
with a total of 75 decoration items (a carpet is considered 1 item,
even if it has 20 tiles). The final decision for any decorations
to be placed remain with the staff.
Player
houses
One house per account. House pricing is determined by the staff,
and if a house is not marked, page in game for information. If a
player already owns a house in game, and wishes to sell it to purchase
another, they will receive 1/3 of the purchase price towards the
new home. The original home will be put back up for sale. A house
may hold 3 lockable containers, with a total of 50 decoration items
(a carpet is considered 1 item, even if it has 20 tiles). The final
decision for any decorations to be placed remain with the staff.
*Note:
Veteran accounts who previously owned a home will be allowed to
purchase one at a discounted rate, subject to the staff's discretion,
one time only.*
Multiple
characters
One extra storage per account. As we have a influx of
multiple characters from various players, we have decided to offer
some alternatives for storage:
Single
room condos
These are located within Britain (south of the mint),
Buc's Den (scattered), Minoc (by the gypsy camp), and Moonglow (north
of the moongate). They will be sold for 65k, and are not refundable.
A condo may hold 1 lockable container, with a total of 25 decoration
items (a carpet is considered 1 item, even if it has 20 tiles).
The final decision for any decorations to be placed remain with
the staff.
Inn
suites
The inns are:
East Britanny Tenements (East Britain), Human Traveler's Hostel
(Dawn), The Morning Star Inn (Jhelom),The Friendly Knave Tavern
and Inn (Moonglow), The Haunting Inn (Skara Brae), The Modest Damsel
Inn (Spektran),Inzureg (Terfin), The Honorable Hound Pub and Inn
(Trinsic), and the Vesper Inn and Tavern (Vesper). A room will cost
30k, and are not refundable, and includes 1 lockable container.
(IC, you will rent the room, just like with the LoLM inn in Grey.)
Campsite
These can be purchased for 10k, and are not refundable.
You will receive:
-A static permanent campfire.
-Logs around the campfire to seat eight.
-A lockable, locked down secure backpack.
-A bedroll [for decoration purposes]
The campsite must be built in overland forest/jungle/tree wilderness
areas only. You must not be able to see a town on an expanded overhead
radar map at the spot where you want the campfire, and cannot be
built near major spawn areas listed elsewhere on this board. [Same
Radar rules apply to spawns as to towns].
Extra
Containers
Container Limits are being removed. Almost. There will no longer
be a max limit on 3 + 2 containers, but the number of containers
will be kept "within reason". Don't line the wall of your house
with 40 chests. It won't fly. Also, extra containers will remain
as gold sinks, but at a significantly reduced price; 10,000 gold
coins per extra container beyond the first three free. The expection
to this are bookshelves. Since they have such limited room to place
items in they only cost 5,000 gold coins. No refunds on already
purchased containers. The additional containers are not lockable.
Now,
for the added twist: All extra containers must be provided by you,
and will not be provided by GMs. Yes, that means seek out a player
carpenter or tinker.
Houses - Total of 3 lockable containers when purchased.
Condos/Inn Rooms - Total of 1 lockable container when purchased.
Campsites - Total of 1 lockable backpack when purchased.
Piers
and Docks
Introducing Piers and Docks for those who like the ocean breeze!
If you live appropriately close to the sea, you may purchase a short
pier for your house for 50,000 gold coins. If that is too rich for
your blood, purchase a smaller docking Platform for a mere 20,000
gold coins. Placement will be at the GM's discretion!
A
Pier
Basements
Ocean life not for you? Prefer solid ground over the crashing waves?
Why not dig down deeper with your very own Basement for your house!
For a full-blown HOUSE you can have a 9x9 tile basement, or any
shape that amounts to around the same number of tiles in total.
This is expensive at 150,000 gold coins. If you own a CONDO, purchase
a smaller 6x6 basement for 120,000 coins. One basement per account,
not per character.
Pricey? Yes. This is not something you need. This is something that's
being made available since players have asked for it, but it adds
a significant number of tiles and increases the chance for blackholing,
so the steep price will hopefully serve to keep that in check. If
not, we reserve the rights to move or remove troublesome basements
(with a refund, of course).
