This is what you'll need:

1) An account with Ultima Legacy

Email Darkheart, Houston, Kevson, or Cymro, retaining the Ultima Legacy in the email subject. (Note that Cymro will be unable to answer emails regularly until December, so the others are probably better choices.). Please read Ultima Legacy's rules, which can be found here before applying for an account.

This has come up after a couple of applications being sent in by friends of current players, and/or people being referred, but also applies to anything dealing with Legacy being emailed to myself or other staff members.

Please be sure to include Ultima Legacy into the email message header along with a general description of the topic when sending (ie: Ultima Legacy Application, Legacy Housing Decorations, UL Quest Idea, etc). Given the number of viruses out there, particularly ones with message headers of "Hi", "Hey", "Hello", etc, I know I tend to delete those type of messages automatically and/or have them blocked by spam software.

Please help us out by marking your messages clearly so that we can spot them easily amongst the rest. Thanks =)

Include the following in the account submission email:

1) Your Ultima experience (what games you have played).
2) Any role-playing experience you have had.
3) Where you heard about Ultima Legacy. (specific webpage, person, etc)
4) Your desired login/password. (Please make your account name appropriate)
5) A statement saying you have read the rules and FAQ and will follow the rules.
6) Answers to the following questions:

i. What is the name of Lord British's mage?
ii. What is the small black item that Lord British and the Avatar used to summon a gate?
iii. From what land is the Avatar from?
iv. What does Ultima mean to you?
v. Which was your favourite Ultima and why?
vi. Who is your favourite classic Ultima character? vii. Which was your first Ultima game and when?
vii. How do you think Playerkilling should be done, and handled?
viii. What's your definition of roleplaying and staying in-character?
ix. What do you think you can bring to Ultima Legacy that will benefit both the server and our small community of established Roleplayers.

2) Ultima Online 2D client:

You *MUST* have UO:The Second Age installed to play Ultima Legacy. UO:Renaisance is highly recommended. Patch Ultima Online to the latest version from the official UO server. Note that in the future it is planned that LBR, Lord Blackthorn's Revenge will be the minimum requirement.

3) The Ultima Legacy custom files.

A Zip containing the working client version and login.cfg can be downloaded from here. Back up the original files that will be overwritten by the contents of the Legacy zip fill, then unzip the files to the UO directory. The file also contains another zip, which contains an updated cartography map.

4) Login

Once you have completed all three of these steps, and received confirmation via email that your account has been added, run 'Legacy.exe' from your UO directory.

Type in your username & password and create a character. Once that is done, select Help from your paperdoll and chose the Downloads option to obtain the custom hues and verdata files. Download them, shut down your UO client, and unzip the files to your UO directory. Log back in and have fun! :-)
