GENERAL GUIDELINES ON IC PRISONS

If you are visiting a prisoner in any of the Britannian or Gargoyle prisons, there are a few things you need to keep in mind if there are no GMs about:

1) You are never allowed to give anything to the prisoner. This is law both in Britannia and Terfin.

2) You are always watched, more or less. Assume that the prison guard outside the cells would be alerted to anything that's not very subtle. This means that discussing a jail break openly is a bad idea. This does not mean the guards listen in to every single word you say or watch every single thing you do.

On the other side of the fence, as a prisoner, there are a few similar things as well:

1) The guards don't neglect you. If the GMs don't RP out coming to you with food, this does not mean you are not fed in prison. The same goes if you RP out being sick or something; you can safely assume that the guards would get a healer there. Britannian prisons are quite humane.

2) Being in prison is often boring, yes. It does lead to some interesting RP in many cases, but it is understandable that you would want to get out as soon as possible. Just keep in mind that GMs do have lives and other things to occupy their time and may not always get to you immediately, especially if time zones do not match.

As an added disclaimer, this post is in no way targetted towards anyone in particular, I just felt that it needed to be written as there has been nothing said in the subject before. Assume that it goes into effect immediately, and don't worry about past "transgressions". ICly this is how it has always been, of course.

Thank you.
