Items
which should not be picked up.
If
you do find any of these items on bodies, please just leave them.
There is an intermittent bug in Sphere which occasionally negates
the item's newbied status when the monster carrying them dies.
Possession
of these items will be considered rulebreaking.
Weighted
gloves.
Shields
with Insignia and armour from Dark Knights.
Frostman
weapons.
(ICly they melt when humans try to hold them.)
Full
Spellbooks from Frostman Shamans.
Spellbooks from spellcasting monsters.
(Would you really want to rely on them being newbied anyway, since
you were able to pick them up off the monster body?)
The
masks labled 'Goblin' off goblin bodies.
(Those are ICly their real faces, so if you want to cut them off
and wear them, well...)
Body
parts, unless from an event where a GM has specifically given permission
for a human body to be cut up.
Equipment
thus gained from cutting bodies is also illegal, since the body
in such a case would have been placed by staff as decoration.
Cage
markers. These are a coin named 'a Cage', which acts as a marker
when a GM creates a cage around a player.
Equipment
specific to a given group, like the OotSS Serpent Shields or Paladin
shields, unless
-
1) it comes from a quest reward (exceedingly rare, I know of one
case ever).
-
2) you are a member of that group.
Anything
that's clearly placed as a decoration but not locked down correctly,
such as in the case of the named plate armour in Shame. If you find
something like this, please page.
Blue
items from Carpentry and Bowcraft. These are produced by a bug.
Page to get a GM to recolour them back to normal. Note that the
colour isn't always blue either - brown and black have been reported
on a test server.
Hopefully
no longer possible, but just in case:
Ranger and Dragonscale armour off female barbarian warriors.
Secret doors off some monsters.
